Layering skin care products is very popular in Asia. A poll showed how women in Asia would use about an average of 9 skin care products on a daily basis! So skin care is taken very very seriously. I’m not using 9 products here, but I am layering my products. This is my favorite method and it’s best for night time. Daytime, you want to use a technique that’s requires lighter layers. I also recommend sleeping on your back, because not only is it better for your body, but it’s better for your face. Enjoy! But I swear by SK II and Khiel’s. If you have super sensitive skin, I don’t recommend layering your skin care products. Also, I wouldn’t worry about applying “too much chemicals” on your face …

Complete guide to destroying your makeup brushes!!!! Makeup brushes cost a lot of money. Really. Its a big investment and yet when looked after correctly they will last many, many years. Being overly harsh with them on either your skin or the products they are being dipped into can make them splay and in time, change shape and size. Being gentle is one of the first things i teach people when learning to apply makeup. You have no idea just how much simpler and easier your makeup application can be just by being gentle. Next time you apply your eyeshadow try it – apply it so gently and delicately that you can barely feel it touch your skin. Red eye shadow has been seen on the runway a lot over the past few seasons, most notably at Thakoon A/W 2011 and Miu Miu S/S 2012. I personally feel it looks more modern when you colour block it as a single shade. Blending it with other shades or trying to make it subtle and wearable feels like a total misnomer and slightly misses the point. Whenever I use red on the eyes for editorial I love it best as a bold, clean statement. One could probably make any shade of red work with the right application and make-up on the rest of the face however, as much as I don’t really like make-up ‘rules’, I do feel that for the novice red eye shadow wearer there are certain shades that work best on different skin tones. It is more of a runway/editorial colour for eyes but it can look amazing for a party, so work it baby!
